| Bio: | I'm back in Chicago after a long stint at Knox where I'm pretty damn sure I learned something useful. I have as a goal by age thirty to have read the works of the majority of the decent Spanish language authors in their native language. Still on the list to read are Borges, Paz, Unamano and Baroja -- amongst others. Last summer I went on a Neil Stephanson reading stint and I still don't think I've recovered -- evidence being the shiny new Linux O.S. that I'm typing this mini-biography from. I think this summer is going to be an excuse to read more Michener as well as many anti-Bush screeds and hopefully the auto-biography of Clinton. As far as myself... I'm less sure of myself at this point than at any other point in my life. Next year -- if everything goes according to plan, I'm going to be doing Americorps. After that, I want to go into graduate school in History. The probability of that happening is still unknown. I think now is a very good place for a solioquy: Who would fardels bear, to grunt and sweat under a weary life, but the dread of something after death, the undiscovered country, from whose bourn no traveller returns, puzzles the will, and makes us rather bear those ills we have Than fly to others that we know not of? Thus conscience does makes cowards of us all; and thus the native hue of resolution is sicklied over with the pale cast of thought, and enterprises of great pitch and moment with this regard their currents turn awry and lose their name of action.
