Only a couple of months till I start sending in applications to grad schools for my MLS. Right now, I'm leaning pretty heavily towards the University of Illinois since it'll pay my tuition if I attend. I need to start looking at job descriptions to see exactly what skills I'm going to need to learn.

On Friday, I got a note back from the daughter of one of the social workers. I had met her while I was working, and she had mentioned to me that she was reading a book about Otto von Bismark, and we had talked throughout my lunch break. A couple of days later, I asked her mom to pass on the title of a book on Cortes that I was reading. In response, she's sent me a note with her e-mail on. She seems like an interesting person, so I'm going to send an  e-mail.

Later that day, I hung out with a friend of mine and some of his friends in the Lower East Side. We all ate dinner and walked up to the East Village, and ran across a Wikkan bookstore. The store had a comforting smell of incense, and the person in charge of the store was wearing a black t-shirt with the phrase got satan? on it. There was also a black cat. The entire scene was quite reassuring and familar, and it felt as if I were back in college for a couple of minutes.

And yesterday, I finally was cleaned  my kitchen and bathroom. Although this may seem like a minor acomplishment, I haven't cleaned both for about a month, so they were getting somewhat disgusting.  So, overall, this  has been a pretty good weekend.
